What is your Sushi of choice? Personally i'm a fan of all different sorts, have yet to find one in perticular that I like over all other types. Anything spicy is good for me, like spicy tuna rolls. Always have been a fan of spicy foods. So how about you, explain why, don't just list. This can also include Sashimi by the way. Not just Sushi.

the only raw fish sushi is Saba - mackerel. It's white color with a strip of it's skin on the side over rice with a hint of mashed up ginger. Very very smooth and good if you can find a restaurant that have good quality and serves it fresh.

I most certainly must go with "maguro" aka Tuna. No, not the cheap $#!+ in the cans, the "real" Tuna, the tasty parts. Overall I've liked most of the sushi and sashimi that I've had in my life, maybe its partially due to my Japanese blood but whatever. But the only sushi that I cant seem to sink me teeth into is "ika" aka squid, literally, I have a hard time biting down and chewing it. Maybe I just got stuck with some cheap squid but I havent come across any that I've had an easy time eating. I've come to like everything else I've tried though.

...man, now I wish I could get some good sushi. I havent had good sushi in years.(T^T)

Um...is that really "traditional"?

I haven't been darning enough to try sushi manly because up until a year ago I lived in a land locked state so how fresh could it be? When I get enough courage to try it I want to try Ootoro because I had a friend who loved it.

just the thought of sushi makes my mouth water.

but my sushi of choice? i'm a very simple person when it comes to sushi. i simply like the little slab of tuna on the rice ball (i forgot what it's called. little help?)

a little wasabi and soy sauce and its a f**kfest in my mouth.

i'm also a big fan of yellowtail.

I don't really have too much textbook knowledge about culinary stuff...Well, i love to watch cooking shows like Iron Chef(Japan) and any random show with a chinese or italian person doing the cooking.

Anyway, i love sushi but i don't really know what's what. But i do know what California Maki is! It's what i usually have for lunch at school, but besides the name and the physical appearance i don't really know what makes California Maki...well, California Maki! I've eaten a lot of Sushi but when i don't have anyone with me i rarely eat one, i don't wanna make a fool of myself by ordering random food that i have no knowledge of. Heh.

Hmm well, they all look the same to me but of all the sushi i've eaten they're all deliciously equal.

Oh god this is a tough one as I love fish... Well there is one I know NOT to eat at that is with blue crab as I am allergic to it. Other then that hard to say... I will go with calamari.

um.. i live in texas, and there ain't that many different types of sushi were i live, mostly shrimp and crab rolls, those are my fave, but at the same time, they are kinda the only ones i know.
i would actually like to know which you guys think would be best for me to try (and i'm afraid of raw fish, so you can see why i need help)

Yellow tail sashimi. When it's fresh and tender it just practically melts in your mouth.
