Thread: Abortion.

well, I don't know if its good or bad, I have opinions on both sides.........................
Well having a baby, can mess up your dream, if you aren't prepared for a child, but what if you aren't in the right money stability, then wat? Die of hunger? and let your child die slowly as well? Its bad becuz, that child COULD be something special, but you'll never know, he's dead.......................................... Abortion is something that will never come to an end, it will always be discussed. I really don't care.............................................. ...... I just know, that if its my grl who gets pregnant and dean't want an abortion, I will not like the idea, but I would get out and get a job to support my love, and OUR child, becuz that is wat a true father does. I do my actions, and I take the consequences like a man

thats true as well. the money thing could be a problem. but i think that both people should still take responsibility for the child. and who knows maybe the perents of the teeneagers will help. my firned got pregnant in the 8 grade (supposed to be in the 9) and she told her perents they were fine with helping her rais the child. and trust me she WAS pregannt. bc one day durning pe she pulled me over placed me hand on her stomach and i felt the baby kick. no if the perents of the girl are willing to help take care of the child then i think its fine. but that is true that the moeny thing could get ugly.

I only support abortions in cases where the woman is raped, kid will be messed up, or there is risk to the mother.

i never knew that. well then i totally go for abortion if the girl is raped duh. no questions asked.

I only believe in it when "in the opinion of competent medical counsel, the life or good health of the mother is seriously endangered or where the pregnancy was caused by rape and produces serious emotional trauma in the mother." and even then it's a good idea to think twice.

Abortions are traumatic, both emotionally and physically. The body treats them as if you had a misscarriage. There are risks of physical complications (infections, bleeding, possible death, this is surgery after all), hormone imbalances that cause depression or manic-depressive behavior, and emotional trauma that can last for years. If you have ever known someone who has had a misscarriage and seen what they have gone through you might understand what can happen.

Personal finances aren't even the question. If the person isn't capable/willing to provide a home and family there is always adoption. Before any of you have some knee-jerk reaction about how horrible that is just think about how many couples there are who can't have children but would love to. We are the only country where couples adopt outside of our own country because they can't wait 7 years for a maybe. There are those in my own family who have adopted children. They are loved, nurtured, and treated as the gift they are. I'm personally grateful someone thought twice.

And finally there is the fact that by the time a pregnancy can be detected the baby already has measurable brainwaves. Something to think about.


So there's your adult opinion. One I've spent years on. Something to think about.....

Abortion is fine with me, as long as the pregnancy is a mistake out of bad luck and not idiotic carelessness.
Of course, I do believe in reincarnation, so meh. *shrugs*
