| Re: Akira the best manga/anime ever It's a great anime and speaking of Otomo... Have you caught an anime DVD with the title "Memories"? It has 3 different "dazzling stories", one of which is Magnetic Rose which is based on a manga short by Otomo and another which is Otomo's own is Cannon Fodder; which "depicts a day in the life of a city whose entire purpose is the firing of cannons at an unknown enemy." Anyhow... Back to Akira. Akira's friggin' great (bikes 'n' blood, does it get any better?), but I was confused as to what exactly the ending was all about until I watched it about the 3rd time. I had to pay close attention to the whole story to tie it all together, maybe that's just me though.
