IF you have not yet seen akira then go now what you waiting for lol .... it totaly rocks .... OTOMO is a god and we should bow down to his creativity.

It's a great anime and speaking of Otomo...
Have you caught an anime DVD with the title "Memories"? It has 3 different "dazzling stories", one of which is Magnetic Rose which is based on a manga short by Otomo and another which is Otomo's own is Cannon Fodder; which "depicts a day in the life of a city whose entire purpose is the firing of cannons at an unknown enemy."
Anyhow... Back to Akira. Akira's friggin' great (bikes 'n' blood, does it get any better?), but I was confused as to what exactly the ending was all about until I watched it about the 3rd time. I had to pay close attention to the whole story to tie it all together, maybe that's just me though.

Thats good soup!......Akira was a great anime, one of my favorites.
The anime definately isn't the best ever, the manga isn't either but it's really good.
Can you elaborate why you think it's the best ever?
Akira was one of the first anime movies I had scene and Damn it was good. Tetsuo got shit a lot of shit and died *cry*
