AMV.org AMV download guide
remarks:
Due to a rather surprising closure of the last thread concerning AMV.org I decided to move my post to a new thread.

AMV.org is a pretty functional web app, so it can be easy to get lost. Here's a guide at downloading AMVs from Animemusicvideos.org:
We start at the page you are taken to once you've logged in (however, you do not need to login to dl AMVs).

Look down at the bottom left in the navigation bar. The blue section has a link titled "SEARCH FOR AMVS"; click that link.

This will take you to the "Search Start" page. Click the "Power Search" button when you arrive.

You can try the other Search Start page options later when you feel more comfortable. You should now see a page resembling the cut-out below. Type in "metropolis" in the textbox labeled "Anime" and then click the "newest" radio button in the "Order By" section. Now press enter or the "search" button at the bottom.

The page will now reload. After it does, scroll downward until you see the results that look like the picture below. Click on the name of the AMV for the AMV called "Ntyfive" by Janzki as the picture shows.

The resulting page should look like the one below. This just lists information about the AMV.

Now scroll downward until you reach the "Downloads" section. There's a link there called "local". That type of download represents the AMV.org server storage space for AMV.org members who create AMVs. Since it costs money to upkeep the servers, there is usually a 2-3 week waiting period for new members to be able to download "Local" AMVs. This waiting period is just insentive to get new people to donate if they can. If you've been a member for about 2-3 weeks you may be able to download "Local" AMVs, so give it a try.

Before the "Local" downloads were available, there were also, "Direct" and "indirect" downloads. "Direct" means that that link is a direct link to the AMV file. An "indirect" download is a link to a website that has the AMV posted for download. All three types are represented in this picture:
