The Angel's Embrace
I am burdened by the loss,
of someone that I thought cared.
On my knees I ask God, “WHY?”
“All I ever wanted was an angel,
To be there for me...
To at least like me,
And who wanted to talk to me.”
I break down and cry.
Tears falling to the ground.
Then behold…
The clouds open ever so slightly,
And a bright light is shown,
Descending is a figure,
Wings and all.
I see her face…
The one that I adore,
Being the one that I have liked,
Since day one.
I thought that she was just a friend,
But soon I know the truth.
In severe pain I lean forward,
And she catches me with her arms.
“Please don’t cry,
I care about you, and I am here.”
I hear the angel say.
Her wings begin to wrap around me,
I put my head to her shoulder.
She holds me tightly,
Leaning her head against mine.
She’s not letting the pain in anymore,
And holding on to my heart,
Like a mother holds her child.
Only in a dream,
Could I ever have loved an angel,
But I never could have dreamed,
That an angel could like me,
Like she does.
On our knees,
Surrounded by her wings…
I feel safe with her,
Her soft wings bringing comfort,
And her warm heart giving me joy.
Thank you, dear angel,
For getting me through my pain.
My heart is with you always…..

This particular peice touches quite close to my own feelings many a time I have sought to find an angel of my own but she always flew away from me like an elligent butterfly. Its is good that even having gone through such internal anguish you can still feel hapiness I will once again applaud your magnifacant work with a word that should be etched in our minds forever........................................... .................................................. ...........

Searching for that kinda love you get from your mother. Always warm and gentle. You've described your feelings well and that makes this poem a great one. Keep up the good work!!!
