I've been to one, and i felt the same way u felt before I went. Although, i was expecting a bit too much. I was expecting to see all these cute japanese girls, and I ended up only seeing like 2, and after talking, one of them had a b/f, so don't go there to try and hook up. Alot of the people there are pretty big fans of anime, they sleep on hotel floors, beg for change, act like just off the wall weirdos...

The best part is probably the hype that goes around the place...like everyone there is into anime...and there are lots of cool events like origami, and other stuff like drawing manga...

It was an ok experience for me, i like anime, but the people at the conventions really creeped me out....

Iv never bin to one yet but im thinking of going to on this yr,sounds like i might like one except for the weirdos but then again im not that normal so i might just fit in.

...I just moved to NH and there was supposed to be a convention up in Manchester but it got CANCELED!! (thats what I heard) The first time in my life I had a chance to go and this is what happens!?(sigh)
...Maybe I'll drive up to NY or some other state when I have cash and time...
