Does anyone know if or when a Anime Convention is coming to the LA area

Anime conventions are held only where the great number of anime fans are huge (i believe). lol

Fanime runs from May 27 - 30 at the San Jose Convention Center... (San Fransico Bay Area/Silicon Valley)

yeah man it starts two weeks from friday, which is the memorial weekend and I got a place to stay too, my APARTMENT!!!

Southern California, and California in general is one of the major hotspots for anime conventions in the US.

Lucky for me, i live here

But yeah (as already mentioned) the main event, not to mention the BIGGEST anime con in the entire nation, is Anime Expo. Its held out in Anaheim (about 10 minutes from me) annualy on the fourth of July weekend.

But other then AX, theres at LEAST one anime con in the state per month. I had a site bookmarked with a listing of them all and such, ill see if i can find it again (my bookmarks all reset awhile ago

i just checked out the 2 sites and i wish i could go to an expo, see cosplayers and so on. but jamaica has no such thing anime isn't that widespread to me but there's quite a few who watch, read manga and listen to anime ost's though.

I woudlnt be suprised if there is a small one out there. Ive seen conventions (not actually gone to but know they existed, lol) in some of the weirdest places....places even less known/smaller/whatever then Jamaica with them. Or maybe you'll just have to wait till you can fly out to one O:

flying out sounds more like it. that is the sad and harsh reality. if i wanna experience a convo its definately not gonna happen by sitting @ home and waiting for one to happen in my country.

what about any in dallas, tx?? I'm going to one on June 3...i think. but does any one know of any more...that affordable (for me)...like around $30 -$40 or less!!??
