GITS: Stand Alone Complex was real good and the .hack sign games were real good too. I never got a chance to check out the FMA game but from what alot of people say it sounds good.
I got the very weird game Killer 7 a while ago and it also has a lot of anime based characters in the game, there are Angels, kawai girls with guns, and one of the most obvious is the "sentai" group called the "Handsome Man" . The game also has plenty of anime cut scenes.

Anime based games are the worst kind of games. I havent seen one good one out there. I didnt even like .hack//sign games.

Hmm, I liked the Fullmetal Alchemist games and the Shaman King games for GBA
Re: anime in games yeah, uhhh... dragonball z games for ps2 has good graphics. Then there's Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone COmplex; it reminds me of james bond games. oh yeah, full metal alchemist was awesome, too.
I would have to say that .hack is the best anime game that I have played. Its one of the reasons why I bought a PS2.
