The most significant Hollywood movie influence that I know of on Japanese anime would be 'Star Wars', who's success in Japan directly resulted in 'Space Battleship Yamato' and the birth of the 'Golden Age' of anime...

Other then that, Hollywood influence has mostly been secondary cultural and marketing influence... The R.O.D. TV series was created because Sony wanted to market something like the "Charlie's Angels" movie remake... And I've seen several 'Star Trek' references in anime series created by J.C. Staff studios, and a 'Titanic' reference in DNAngel...

And let's not forget the huge influence the film Blade Runner had on the birth of the "cyberpunk" genre of anime. Most notable are the films and series that deal with the question of "what makes us human."
