    anime old school

At some point, while my back was turn, the anime audience in the US increased quicker than I could imagine. Things like Cartoon Network showing anime probably helped.

I am trying to get a feel for how many of you out there have been watching anime as long as I have (close to 26yrs now). I figure the best way of this is to mention my favs that I watched when I was little and see how many of you watched them as well, or at least heard of them. I feel like an old man of anime when I try to track them down on DVD and realize not only are they not on DVD, but most people don't know what I am talking about. Though some are coming back as remakes (which is good and bad in my opinion)

    The List:
    Starvengers/Getter Robo
    Gaiking
    Grandizer
    Spaceketeers/Starzingers

And even though it was made into an anime a few yrs ago, the live action Kikaida

I've been into anime for a few years and many of my favorite series are in fact classics.
For example: Nadia, Maison Ikkoku, Kimagure Orange Road, the various Gundam series, etc

I dont remember what the first movie/series I watched was though as it was in the early '90s.

18 years + here, started with Macross then kind of got out of it since it wasn't big here in the states and thus hard to get a hold of but I got back in the early 90's and have been a whore ever since.
