I loved HMM and I watched Chobs shortly afterwards and saw too many similarities. Chobs was longer and more ecchi, but felt that HMM was the original.
Another is EVA and Nadesico, two intros that are exactly the same and the characters strangely enough have smiliar physical attributes.
What other Clones are out there?

There are a lot out there, but Roruni Kenshin and Peacemaker have a lot of similrities, as do NGE and Raxepheon, though to a lesser extent.

Similar??? In one series you have a moody male teenager who hates his father, the other you have a mecha pilot who wants to become a fast order chef??? There are no giant flying space battlships in EVA, or underground cities in Nadesico...

But for series that have the same general style in their opening episode, you have Naruto and Saiyuki, where both openings introduce the bratty kid character...

I agree NGE and Raxepheon are far to similar. I think NGE should remain number one without anyone trying to replace it.
