Definately Genocyber. The gore factor is up there with Sam Raimi and Peter Jackson's Earlier films if you know what i mean. Not to mention the intense fights and what have you..

I watched the first few episodes of Gunslinger Girl recently. I thought it was violent, in the sad, traumatic way.

    I GOT ALL YOU BEAT!!

A very old anime is called "Ninja Resurection" It portrays (quite untruthfully) the events of japan around 1658 or something. That was the time when christianity was outlawed.

Anyway, the Christians were portrayed as magic using psycos. Their "japaneese son of god" was this dude, who if killed would turn into this super demonic devil. Anyway, He died, and he turned into this dragon creature. After the dragon was killed he came to life again because his general used some voodoo magic to cut his finger off. His finger then proceeded into the Pus* of his daugter and he made her lie with him. Not only is this movie Totally sick(ie: killing people with your own intestines hangin out of your body) but it has some preatty weird things like full on rape and such. One of THE worst peices of SHtttttt I've ever seen. (ps. the anime quality sucked a***)

The most violent anime I have ever seen would have to be Rurouni Kenshin Tsuiokuhen.
    I download anime, watch anime,
download more anime, watch more anime,
and download anime soundtracks because I have no life.

    Grumble Grumble Grumble

All of the series mentioned so far are nothing more then gratuitous violence for entertainment. Of all the Anime series that I've seen, the most BRUTAL series that sitting on my DVD shelf is one that's called 'Now and Then, Here and There' (Ima, Sokoni Iru Boku). Now the series doesn't has as much bood and gore as some of the Demon Hunters/Ninja/Vampire series, but what makes it brutal is the seriousness of the presentation of these violent adult topics...

Akari the movie, and the Kenshin Ova's. I however dislike gore in anime, and thus don't care for the aforementioned series.
