Anime wallpaper makers decreasing in numbers?

I don't know if anyone agrees with me but when I first joined AO many years back there were so many good walls, but it seems like the amount of good walls have been diminishing.

Is anime losing it's popularity or wallpaper creators just diminishing?

No most of the wallpaper creators moved to either Animepaper or minitokyo the last time Ao went down. Ao first got a surge of wallpapers from devinart after they closed there animewall/section, you must've came around ao around that time ^_^
But hopefully we get more wallers in here.

ya i noticed there slowing down we need to recruit more anime wallpaper makers!

lol animewallpapers has decreased because many of the wallpaper makers are high school students or college students so they don't have time to make wallpapers during this time of the school year.

You have to understand this has never been a site designed for wallers, it was meant as a "Discussion Forum" thus the Gallery was an add in for the community. Sites like AP are designed for wallers. I mean how can you attract new wallers if they have to post 500 times to get to the part they are really interested in (I know they can still upload but they like to view others work to draw inspiration) and our Graphics/Wallpaper/Web Design section isn't anything really special. That shows we are more concerned with the community, people like Jade, crapmonster, socketto, cherry87, etc.. they are all part of the community and have stayed around here which is much of why we even still have a gallery.

We need to as a community give the wallers the appreciation the deserve, more comments and feedback for all the beautiful walls will give people more incentive to share their walls with us. And if I wasnt so darn slow at walling I might get back into it. We'll see, MB I'll enter that freedom contest.
