Thread: Another one about playing subtitles...

Rename the subtitle file to the same as the video file, but keep the .srt extension. Then drop them into the same folder and open the video in a player which supports subtitles (such as core player)

For example: if the video file is xffvii_acxvid.avi then name the subtitle file to xffvii_acxvid.srt

can't make it work in Win Media-player and the coreplayer just crashes

try using media player classic. not mplayer2.exe from microsoft, but from a 3rd party. there's an option where you can attach a subtitle file.
