Watch different varieties of anime and pictures drawn by other people and study the concept in the drawings or go on the internet and look at peoples fan art, art, etc. You should get better after a while.

How bout you look at those kinds of "draw your own manga" books and pick out a couple you like then make something out of, I did that it works, but since i'm a noob at it, it took me 4hrs.>.< But it will be easy for you.

Thanks lifeforce! (:
Do what most artist do, give each of your "duplicates" different hairstyles. Now they are all different.
Well research on different styles, like maybe gettin some manga magazines, or lookin on how there done in different anime films. Whether it's characters with deformed bodies, to ones that have more realistic looks. Concentrate on eye styles, how noses are drawn etc.
An u say ya need tips on anatomy, well like I said deformed/ realistic body looks, or maybe go for a dbz type look really makin shading in the muscle tones deeply, allowing them to really stand out ina strong way. Really concentrate on experimentin an comparin your pics while drawing.
my suggestion is watching movie, especially anime movie, read any kind of manga.. shonemagz..hanalala...etc
the last is researching your own style (maybe you already get it)...
hm.. if it looks the same why do not modify the hair/nose/eye(s)/mouth...and give some tattoo or any accessories and etc..
hope this help. (^_^)
I tryed to draw anime miself, but I didn't have any luck...anyway here is a nice link for ya, maybe it will help u a bit:
