Enya is great, i think that her album "Memory of Trees" is her high mark. As for other artists....i really like Dagda, their album "Celtic Trance" is one of the best made and most relaxing albums i've ever listened to.
Do you like Celtic music? What do you like about it? Favourite bands/singers/genres within the genre? Do you go to festivals? Speak up!

I'm a die-hard Celtic fan myself. I like mostly vocal stuff, usually long and bizarre ballads (I know one that's 17 verses long). And sea shanties.
Bands: Mostly small-time ones, but Slainte Mhath is very good. Two of them are the younger siblings of the Barra MacNeils.
I didn't think I had any Celtic music, but the Narrator said Enya, so yeah I do listen to it, have alot of Enya's songs, I like em.
Irish punk is ok too(I'm irish woot, lets get drunk)
Yeah I actually do like some Celtic music, especially with a nice techno vibe. Good stuff, unfortunately I dont have any albums or I'd give out some quality stuff. If anyone knows any that'd be nice. One techno sort of group called (gasp) Delerium does some celtic-esque stuff....you should check that out.
i guess i kinda like it but i can't listen to just celtic. it's good for a reading or something.![]()

This is a little more of what I had in mind...
Enya is Celtic music?
You learn something new everyday. Well, if she is, then I guess I do enjoy this type of music.
