    Question Anyone know of good war games for PC?

    I'm looking for presents for a buddy of mine. He's a pretty hardcore RTS gamer, so he has most stuff that's popular. I'm not really familiar with the genre and I don't know all of what he has. I need either something obscure or something new or coming soon. Anyone know any good RTS war games? Any suggestions are appreciated!

    Medal Of Honour Allied Assault Deluxe edition (comes with an extended disc, medal of honour allied assualt spearhead)

    Medal Of Honour War Chest, comes with Allied assault spearhead and Pacific assault. both box sets are guarenteed some awesome RTS.

    Yes those are great RTS games
    I think Rome: Total War is the best right now, Warhammer 40k dawn of war is good too but also popular...
    Empire Earth II but that's not really 'war'... R:TW isn't only war either
    LotR: Battle for Middle earth

    Rome total war, and Axis and Allies are both really good games.

    And ofcoures, you can't forget about StarCraft, Sure its dated, but its still the best RTS game ever made.

    you might also want to try out Full Spectrum Warrior as well

    Command And Conquer Generals, Here ya go Comes with generals and the add on Command and conquer Zero Hour not a bad deal for a great war RTS game

    ARGH!!! I cant believe that no one has suggested WCIII frozen throne...well...neway...yea..i suggest u play warcraft III....its really awesome game and well..even though Starcraft is sorta out dated..there are still so many people who actually still play that game...i played it all summer and never got tired of it ^^...of course theres GunBound..if u wanna try that

    Yeah I'd have to say Comand and Conquer's a good one. Red alert 2 is like the best. Or maybe CC: Renegade. both are awesome.
