i noticed in the scores in most games that the time was shorter on the higher scores. how? i'm confused is there something i should know about the arcade? and what of these challenges? very interesting...

I'm sure, the time is shorter on the higher scores because, people play them alot, take a break, come back, get a new high score after their break, so it doesnt seem as though the played that long

Youi can score very high in some games without spending alot of time, although I think some people are cheating/exploiting glitches in some games...

What?! There are ways to cheat in them?! Dammit I've been spending hours on that stupid chopper chalange!

Though I did find a glitch in the "Smack The Rabbit" game, but it still never did me any good...

I know there's glitches in Smack the Rabbit and Space Ace, but everything else is pretty glitch free. As champion of Asteroids, I can tell you that racking up high scores in that game can be acheived very quickly if you don't suck. As for ARKANOID... I envy you Hassun.

-edit: and as for challenges, that's just so you can challenge any user you want to any of the arcade games. You both play the selected game, and whomever's score was the higher, wins. Can't get much simpler than that.

Yeah i know of the glitch in Arkanoid all too well, when i was a noob to EAO i ran into it once and beat the top high score for the game, but instead of using the cheat, (i am a respectable gamer you know!) i just hit back and reset the game and tryed again truthfully. (i got no where near the leader board but hey, like i said, i'm a respectable gamer, not a fame grabbing one!)

I have always tried to stop people from exploiting that game, getting a score like that trough regular means is tremendously difficult.
I also had the top score of the Arkanoid game before they were reset AND the topscore on the (other) Arkanoid game on the previous AO.
I've been trying to stop playing Arkanoid based games but it's hard...

Nah, I sobered up on Arkanoid.

Snake is another story, it's the classic cellphone game so alot of people have had alot of practice.

I have no cell phone, therefore suck at snake. I get lucky sometimes. But christ, how the hell do you get good at Tetris!?
