![]() ![]() | Asian Cinema I'm sure there has probably already been a thread about this, but oh well, I'm making a new one. ![]() Anyways, I saw Battle Royale for the first time last night and I thought it was great. Can anyone else reccomend me some good Asian cinema? I doesn't have to be like BR, but I like stuff thats scary/weird or has a good storyline. Any genre is actually fine with me as long as its good. |

![]() ![]() | Re: Asian Cinema Gosh, where to start...I mostly watch the horror genre, so hopefully someone will be able to recommend movies from other genres, but I like The Eye (they show this on IFC a lot), Audition, A Tale of Two Sisters, the original Ring (Ringu) and Ju-On, Infection. Some other more gory ones I've seen (though I didn't really care for them) are Versus and Ichi the Killer. Returner is more of an action movie, still pretty good. Oh, Uzumaki is also a wierd one. That's all I can think of for now; if I remember anymore, I'll add them in.

![]() ![]() | Re: Asian Cinema I've seen Audition...that movie was messed up. I also bought Tale of Two Sisters, but I haven't watched it yet. Anyone ever seen Tetsuno: The Iron Man? I saw that a month ago...seriously crazy movie, reminded me of Eraserhead in that it made no sense whatsoever. Thanks for the reccomendations, people. |
