Go to your adress bar, type www.google.com
Search for avatar/anime avatar/game avatar or maybe even a specific name coupled with the word avatar.
You could also try coupling it with various sizes like 100x100 or something...

I found a LOT more from Yahoo then Google.
go to www.yahoo.com obviously..and click images and type avatars, or any specific avatar you want, like naruto, or orphen. There's lots.. (but the max.size should be 80x80) and copy the picture and paste it in ur desktop and go to "my panel" and upload avatar.. Browse, and click the avatar... It's really simple and I dont get y you cant do the simplest thing. Good Luck!!
--It's better if you make your own avatar. you can make it however you want it.
