Aviator

aviator rocks, plain and simple. i loved it. and hughes(sp?) was portrayed perfectly, in my opinion. but one thing. me and my father(as well as many of my other friends) were talking about the spruce goose. we thought it never flew. was it hollywood or did it really fly. do any of you have any info on this

The Spruce Goose actually did fly, but never went into service as a military transport as Hughes intended.

Grumble Grumble Grumble

Well, it sort of flew, only a distance of about one mile, and it never rose above ground effect altitude. At the time of it's flight, Howard Hughs had announced that only high speed taxi tests were to be done that day.
