best game intros? i'd have to say either Tales of Symphonia or Jak X: Combat racing. Soul Calibur II has a very good one also.
Now I have recently thought the opening movies to games. Wut's the best tht u have seen and I dont want to include the Next-gen console opening intros coz tht would be pointless. I mean I want u guys to reallly think back to the "old" days from PS1, nintedo and so on till now excluding next gen.
I liked Soul Edge's intro coz the music and it was the first playstation game tht I played. U cant forget abt tht intro. It was one of the best during the 1990s.
So again I say next gen console trailers at E3 and Tokyo Gameshow not allowed. Everything current gen and previous gen allowed.

Best Game Introductions?
I would have to say for The legend Of The Dragoon, Final Fantasy 7, and Soul Edge. All are good.
Newer ones: Soul Caliber 2 and 3, Prince Of Persia, Final Fantasy 10, Suikoden 3, God Of War.
The best game intros to me are Soul Calibur II and Final Fantasy 8
I wouldn't vote it as "best game intro," as nothing too exciting happens, but the Half Life intro always sticks in my head. I think it's just because there's a whole bunch of little hints and things that you can see in the intro, and until you beat the game you don't pick them up. Definately not best game intro, but only one that comes to mind right now.
Final Fantasy VIII has the best game intro of all time! im serious... i set and watched that on my playstation like for an hour of just restating lmao.

any Metal Gear Solid intros makes all the other bow to their trembling knees as they kneel before THE GLORY THAT IS HIDEO KOJIMA!!!!

also any Peter Jackson game has good stuff (Lord of the Rings)
Dynasty Warriors 5, and Tekken (everyone of them)
