I think the best Gundam series is 0083 and the MS8th team. Do get me wrong, I love all the gundam series but 0083 and ms8th team are at the top of my lsit if I was to choose out of all the series. After those two it goes:
Seed/Destiny
Wing
Original
0080
F91/Chars Counterattack (both are excellent movies)
Zeta
G Gundam
I have watch only the gundam series that came on Cartoon Network but I think the best by far is Gundam seed even though you can't compete with the classic like gundam wing.
The best gundam series to me was G-gundam.
I have watched all the series except for Gundam V and Gundam Z. So far 0083 is the best. 0079 is pretty darn good as well, but the series is too long and of course the art is not as today's standard, but stil a good series to give it a try. It IS the beginning of all Gundam after all.
Gundam X is very good...up till just before the end. Hated the ending.
Hands down... My favorite is the Gundam SEED series...
G Gundam is my favorite, but Turn A Gundam is a very close second.
