Anne Rice is great indeed and i wouldn't dare dispute that. But, i think that a different take on the vampire genre is healthy every once in a while. That's why i haven't met a vamp style i haven't liked yet. Except that movie 'The Forsaken', that was rubbish.

Your going to have to stand in line (like everyone else...) and wait for a fansub group to pick the series up. The first episode shows in Japan this weekend...

So it isn't pre-licensed?

The usual Internet Anime resource sites show no licensing information, so it's safe to say that it still unlicensed. Since 'Blood+' is schedualed to take over the same family hour prime time slot that 'Gundam Seed Destiny' and 'Full Metal Alchemist' had, you can bet that 'Blood+' isn't going to be an inexpensive series license...

Wouldn't that mean (and I realize this may very well be pushing it, but ya don't know if ya don't ask) that it could be made available for download through this site until it IS licensed?

With a family hour primetime slot, it's actually both GOOD and BAD... BAD in the sense that there won't be any SEX or excessive GORE that post mid-night and premium cable anime series have... GOOD in the sense, that without Bood and Gore, you better have a DAMM GOOD STORY to keep the audiance attention and justify the expense (and the Grand Sponser's Money) of that 'Golden Hour' time slot...

Even though there's been talk of commercializing fansubs, it's unlikely that the original broadcasting network is going to post them. You just have to keep an eye on the BitTorrent index sites (such as AnimeSuki) for an anouncement from a fansub group, which should take anywhere from two to three weeks after the original broadcast...
