Yep, though it's kinda cool to be able to change the blood to green...look, that monster's spewing green eggs and ham!

It is fun to watch the green goo, but nothing beats classic crimson.
Agreed. However, back to the issue at hand, I believe it's actually possible to go through the SH games without killing anything (except in SH 2 at the beginning with the plank, and all the bosses), so there really wouldn't be a need to shut off the blood option. It wouldn't be very fun, but it's an option. And, if you're good, you could probably do the same with MGS. So sometimes the violence is really a matter of choice as opposed to being forced on you in a game.
Since most games have that toggle switch, I'm perfectly fine with gore in video games. Like it was said above, in some games the blood is the least of the gutwrenching. For instance, in Thief: The Dark Project, using the sword to hack away at your enemy to escape a bad situation is pretty gruesome. The anguishing screams and the momentum of the sword as it hits his body seemed pretty realistic to me. There is hardly any blood in the game to begin with, but just proves that no blood doesn't mean it can't have a spine tingling effect.
I'm fine as long as there's not an excessive amount or revolves around blood.
Yes, there's at least one game like that.
The game has to be good but then again the game would hav the blood n gore option in the options menu anyway.
More the better *nods*
