    maybe if you smudge too much, it looks yellow. i have that problem with pencil drawings (my hand goes everywhere!) and i'm not so good with an eraser. but the paper turns otu a lgiuht grey for me, not yellow...

    i usually use the computer to fix it up, or you could try a rubber. but like nikon said, could just be the paper.

    Maybe there's something wrong with your scanner...

    you could always try scanning in grayscale mode (B&W, if its a pencil sketch this will solve the colour problem but it will make the picture look pale..)

    Well ther is little else other than experamenting with your scanner options! good luck!
