To A Brokenhearted Maiden
To A Brokenhearted Maiden - by Derek Edmonds
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee though you don't believe it so,
and despite the schism that seems to grow
between us in these sad and weary days.
I love thee e'en though my hopes you did raze.
I love thee still when my spirits are low,
because I deserve each and every blow
for causing the hurt that between us lays.
And yet I am happy despite the pain,
for as ironic as it now may seem,
I find comfort in faith, your foe, your bane.
And though it now seems to be but a dream,
I could love thee more if we were the same,
so much, this love would be a mere foregleam.

you just love to make me cry.
