Rent it? As in "pay money to see it"?
There are less expensive ways to commit braincell genocide.

And what TV station is going to commit financial suicide showing this peice of trash? Seriously, I think you'll have to rent it and live with the humiliation of the clerk laughing at you as you walk out the door.

    Just like Mortal Kombat: Annihilation.
Some of it was off the true story and missing some characters.

It was so bad they were CHANGING characters and motivations all over the place. It was obvious they didn't even try to get it close. Poor Arrianna thought it was a decent movie until we showed here the Anime Street Fighter movie. She has since been corrected in her beleif of this abomination.

As long as the castlevania flick is not street fighteresk in it's suckiness then I'll be fine with it. If were lucky we'll find someone who's itleast going to be true to the feel of the games. Castlevania has never been one known for it's plotlines....only it's really awesome soundtracks and it's attention to gothic detail.

I'm still looking forward to it.
Mortal Kombat is different from an action/adventure type game like Castlevania. Mortal Kombat games started out with lame plots, so if you put it to movies, there's no real expectation. Anytime I ever played MK was surely not for plot, but for blood n' guts fun. Fighting games are easy to make into movies because as long as the action is good, no one cares what the plot is, that's just icing on the cake. Street Fighter sucked because they tried too hard to put in a plot, plus effects at that time sucked anyway, but MK doesn't have the fancy lazer like attacks and flaming guys like street fighter. It was an all around more down to earth series. (at least for a video game.)

9.5/10 video game movies suck out loud. That's just my take on it. Some of the greatest games have turned into suckfests on screen, I just don't think Castlevania will be much different.
