Well christmas is always going to be a time to make cash hey thats just how it is, i don't think it will ever change much but as long as u knwo the meaning to christmas then thats all good i think.
Everyone, Here is my 100th shout over the new AO.
did some of you realize that the holyday are not what they was.
I mean, In a time not this far, familly where living the chrismas time with familly member, Having great time of peace, playing with childrens in the snow (Where there is Snow), ETC.
Now all we think is, making gift(so we rush into the market center ), give gift to child( cause they shout at us to have them), are bored (cause chrismas tv/radio pub start the day after halloween).
Because of that, holy day don't mean anything to me now. Am I the only one.
Coming soon.........

christmas is what you make it out to be if yu are like me, a christain *by no means a prefect one!!!* you will be spending time at church on christmass day... with freinds and the (church) family....
my familys christmass is not all about presents, we do spend time together (around the TV and opening the gifts we have recived) and i do enjoy giving them gifts it makes me and my familty happy...
christmas is different to every one. some see it as a comercialistic money fest and others as a holy day! its all perspective..
I envy you, andiishere I miis the time my family was doing the same as your. I hope you all going to do this for a long time again....
Coming soon.........
True, I get money for X-mas, but that's not the reason I like it. There's ususally snow on the ground, no school or other pressures for a couple weeks, and I get to hang out w/ the family.Moneys just a side benefit.
Besides, not everyone celebrates Christmas religiously, some, like me, like X-mas cuz you get a break to spent more time w/ family And friends. Then there's New Year's![]()

I agree that is true in the majority of ppl. I think there are a few familys that like christmas not for the stuff they get, but for the joy and happiness it brings..Originally Posted by Ectoruss
Coming from the perspective of one who works in the retail industy at Christmas, who is drilled by her bosses daily to "sell sell sell" I can safely say that Christmas is no longer much of a celebration, more so a time to make money.
It's like that everywhere now a days. Like in Japan for instance, 1% of the population is Christan, yet Christmas is still "kind of" celebrated, since it falls right when workers get their December bonus. Stores promote gift giving... of course.
I've almost completly lost the true Christmas spirit by working in retail for four Christmas' now. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who feels like that.
I really need to get out of retail before I turn into a scrooge.
Anyway, for me, besides my job, Christmas is about my family and friends.... getting all together for an Aussie summer Christmas day.
For one who isn't religious, Christmas is all about celebrating the day with family and friends.

I admit that more emphasis has been put on objects and money during christmas nowadays from companies and stores etc. But I just kinda have a way of blocking out that fact and just enjoying the holidays, it is a great time to enjoy with loved ones. I hate to rip-off Lisa Simpson but i agree with her in saying that the commercialization of christmas is a mixed blessing at best.
