COUD you kill someone? if someone attacked you and had superior weapons and tryed to kill you/kidnap you what would you do? i mean if it were me i would fight till i die. specaily if they attack family or friends. what would you do?

Of course. Death is a natural just like breathing. Everyone has to die someday. And if I really had to then it wouldn't make a difference to me.

I don't see much of a debate in this. This is more of a discussion on whether or not you have what it takes to take someone's life. Moving the the cyber lounge.

My former taekwondo master taught me an important lession. I would rather be judged by twelve than carried by six. If my life is endangered and someone intends on killing me, I will not hold back in preserving my own life, or the life of a loved one.

I just have to throw in I'd like if the person starting the thread can make sure when they ask a question as the topic make sure you use a freakin question mark you know the "?" pretty easy and doesn't make the topic look so stupid

and I love the bit about "if they had superior weapons" for christ sakes where do you live that everyone is walking around with weapons and you find yourself in a situation where you have to think "oh shit I so brought the wrong gun today I'm totally underpowered" good god.

course heres a bit of advice from people who have actually been in such situations. Most have said and I quote "you dont know what kind of person you are till your actually are in such a situation, I've seen the bravest brashest big talkers completely crumble and piss themselves when it came time to back up their mouths and they were facing an enemy in battle. And on the same token as far back as the middle ages we have seen simple quiet squire's fight to the bone and give their lives to protect their masters horse"

And I believe it. As far as I'm concerned you can shoot off the mouth all day long. We'll see what you do when you are actually put in a situation where its life or death. Till then all your doing is blowing hot air and wasting my time. And it goes without saying that you'll protect your family. Most anyone would without much thought. Its a reflex of emotional attachment whereby you react more than thinking. Different situation when its you and another with nothing else involved and you have time to think about it.

I'd rather paralyze someone who has either attacked me or otherwise pissed me off enough for me to kill 'em.
If I'm that angry, or whatever you'd call it, I'd wanna see them suffer and that way, no manslaughter charges. Martial arts alone can beat someone into submission, whether they have a weapon or not. So, bash a face, break a knee, and break a couple arms. Why kill?

Could I kill? That is like asking if I can breathe, no matter who you are or your belief's any and everyone could kill someone, a good example of this ideology is the anime Trigun. For spoilers sake (if you haven't seen Trigun you need to) I will say no more about that. I have no reservations about killing; to end a life is easy. The idea of who deserves to live and who should have the power to decide that is a more relevant question.

That's a much better question. Possibly a thread starter.... but that would be up to you. Anyhow, yes it's true that the ability to kill is within all of us. However, some people are essentially "bred" to be cowards who would never kill no matter what the circumstances are. There was a situation around here where a man was in his house, with his family, and a guy rang his doorbell and asked to use his phone. The guy lets this complete stranger walk right in at which time this stranger proceeds to not only shoot the man's daughter, but was "battering" the man's wife. This coward of a man waited till the stranger left and called the cops and during the playback on the news he actually said at one point "I was just scared that he was going to hurt me!"... What the hell?! His daughter's in the trauma center and his wife's beaten and battered and he was scared for himself. Sometimes it all depends where your priorities are when it comes to whether or not you could kill someone, because I feel safe in saying 99.9% of people, including those that say they'd never kill, would've beat that ****er into a bloody pulp if they were put in the same situation.
By the way, in case you were curious, apparently the guy was caught, arrested, and claimed that he was acting "with a vengeance". The kicker is, he attacked the wrong home.
