no really it is.... and it didnt really appeal to me....

FF8 was 4 discs and that was legendary.
and i enjoyed playing star ocean, think of it as a massive interactive anime or just value for money

Well personal yi LOVE all 3 star ocean games. but i liked the second one the best because the battles were better in my opinion

The only one I played was Star Ocean 2...but yes it is quiet long (still fun though).

The reason why it takes so damn long for me is because I'm stuck at the part where you got to look for copper in the faggot dragon mines! T_T

yes it is long!but its with it .i like it alot but yes it is long i had played it last year and got to the part were you have to fight fake blare beat her and then had to start over because i lost my memory card but i don't mind now that i know what to do it goes by quick.T_T(but i wish i still had that memory cardT_T)

It's not that long for an RPG. I go to the last boss in about a week of playing, which is average for me, playing RPGs, since I don't play every hour of the day. I mostly ran though the map without killing every monster, since you can see and avoid most of the monsters.

I didn't find that the game was too long, I think it just had a very detailed and descriptive back story for every character. As far as the chapters go there were only 5, very short compared to some of the other RPG games on the market. However, I am one who likes a good long story, I get upset at RPG games where I feel like I did nothing but hack and slash, SaGa Frontier 2 is a prime example.

I agree that it is quite a lengthy game. It is lengthest RPG that I ever played, but I got my money's worth. Then again, I wasted a lot of time. Afterall, time is money.
