My Firefox favs, which are the ones I moved from IE and added to, have suddenly disappeared like two weeks ago. No more favorite on the list. And my IE favs are somewhat old, and lack many new links.
What could have caused this?

Have you recently updated your firefox version, themes, or extentions? Anyone of which could cause a fav list wipe.

And if Firefox is updated, it's often the case that the themes and extentions need to be updated as well... The Firefox settings are kept in a hidden directory in your 'Documents and Settings' Folder. This is suppose to isolate your individual settings from Firefox updates and reinstalls. But if the directory files are damaged (such as being caused by a improper shutdown of Windows...)
You can also try downloading the latest version of Firefox, uninstall the current version, reboot, and install the new version. The last few releases of Firefox, I've found issues when trying to update through the builtin Firefox update utility...
If all the favs were from IE, then you should be able to go into your bookmarks tab and go to "From Internet Explorer" and have all your favs there.
