This poem, like mostof mine... more like all of mine, is based on true events....
now what can these two things,
Doom and Togetherness,
have in common you may ask me.
well, just keep reading...
my father and me,
sitting at a computer
he's asking for advice,
and i say "turn there."
a few shots of his shotgun,
and down go a few more demons.
he's up to his top form.
almost 50 and yet a gamer,
playing the old school,
version of Doom.
So he takes on,
all these baddies,
and comes out on top,
most all the time.
and when he's in trouble...
"JUSTIN!!" I hear him yell.
it could be hours later,
before we seperate from the screen.
and then he dies,
or saves the game once more,
before giving up,
or entering another door.
he'll end it for tonight.
Doom saved a brokenness in me,
because it brought me back,
to my dad again.
By Justin McCormick (K' Heart) "I call this quality time... and yes, my dad is a gamer, and he don't know it. He's so old school though which is cool..."
Far be it for me to be anything special, when the only special thing I desire with me, is the special person I share my gifts with.
