DVD R- are usually for older dvd players and dvd R+ are for the newer ones.

I have the same to say as kastelic4444. I use Nero software as well to burn music or videos. It is one of the best, and as kastelic4444 said, it is a piece of cake to utilize that software.

Same here. I got it with a burner. The burner costs a lot less than the software itself. And, you get the Nero software as a bonus.
