Grumble Grumble Grumble
The thing is, Episode III is rated PG-13. How many 13 year olds (and older) buy happy meals??? So why is Burger King marketing to kids younger then the suggested viewing age... (That is, besides the $$$...)
God, I saw this on the news and it really pissed me off. Some parents are protesting burger kings star wars happy meal toys. They say it promotes the new movie which they dont like because its not suited for kids. Crap when I went and saw star wars, i saw kids of all ages at the show. I mean if they feel this way they should just not let their kids buy the toys. I mean who are they to try to take it away from ppl who dont think in extremes like they do. [/rant]
These emo parents are a pet peve of mine. *Sighs* :Thumbd:

big deal. even if it's rated PG-13, u can watch it with parent supervision.
besides, don't lie now, how many of u actually waited til 18, before u saw boobs. seriously, the ratings are just guidance.

Really, it's all about the money. Why would you think otherwise? The Miami-based chain has tied its marketing to the Star Wars films since the first one was introduced in 1977. The company produced collectible drinking glasses for each of the movies, but this is the first time it has extended the promotion globally.
"Star Wars is a brand recognized by people of all ages from around the world and the global release of Revenge of the Sith on May 19 presented a unique opportunity for us to bring the thrill of Star Wars to Burger King restaurants worldwide," said Russ Klein, the company's chief marketing officer. "We're sure the promotion will create a lot of excitement among our customers."
As for the parents protesting, they need to chill, or stop buying kids meals. I can't count the number of toys my kids have gotten that I didn't necessarily feel to be appropriate. I mean really, Spiderman? Like I'm going to let my 6 and under kids watch that. You just wait for them to break it and then throw it away when their not looking, or break it yourself. Problem solved.
Agreed all about the money.
Ahhh... the power of money... here's u a side of voilence for ur young kids to help them grow up and have good morals and academic skills [/sarcasim]
I like the burger king thing... i mean... on the value meals i already won like 5 free meals on the scratch cards... it's awesome...

Ok, is it just me, or has anyone noticed that the new BK toys, you have to stare up the characters ass to see the pictures?
Someone at BK wasn't thinking straight.
for who ever siad it, your mean, i'm over thirteen i still buy kids meals, they're cheap and tasty and i can get a millk shake, so leave it out they're nice. anywho even if the kids can't see the movie they probably still have some idea of what it's about and who the people are.
