The facts:

1. There are five houses of 5 different colors.
2. In each house a person of different nationality lives.
3. Each of the 5 owners drinks a certain type of drink, smokes a certain type of cigars and guard a certain domestic animal.

The question:

Who has the fish?

Some indices:

1. The English lives in a red house.
2. The Swede has dogs like domestic animals.
3. The Dane drinks tea.
4. The green house is on the left of the white house.
5. The owner of the green house drinks coffee.
6. The person who smokes of Pall Mall cigar has birds.
7. The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill cigar.
8. The person who lives in the house of the center drinks milk.
9. The Norwegian lives the first house.
10. The man who smokes Blend cigar lives beside the one that has cats.
11. The man who has a horse is the neighbor of the one that of Dunhill cigar.
12. The owner who smokes Blue Master cigar drinks beer.
13. The German smokes Prince cigar.
14. The Norwegian lives just beside the blue house.
15. The man who smokes Blend cigar has a neighbor who drinks water.

This enigma was posed by A. Einstein at the beginning of last century. According to him 98% of people are unable to solve it. Do you make party of the 2% which are able? Good luck and especially, DO NOT GIVE UP!

Odd, my Grandma used to smoke Pall Malls ciggarets...I had no idea they were that old, lol!

And a little advise from me, Use a lot of paper to draw the enigma or you'll burn you own brain...:lol2:

I think I have the answer, but I think I am probably wrong because there's probably more than one answer to this...the reason why I thought this was because I only spend about an hour on this so either I am smart (doubt it), or luck shine upon me during trial and error (unlikely), or maybe i just got it wrong

Ok i think i have the anser of this enigma thing, but i won't say the answer yet. Here's a clue for those that want to find the answer, the answer is between numbers 1, 5, 7 , 10 and 12.

I think I have the answer, man it took me a while to wrtie it all out, but it was a nice try. It'd been a while since I treid anything like this.

no shit ketaro, those are the absolutes

The way to solve these problems is to draw out a chart of possiblities. A very complex and pain in the ass thing to do which makes these problems bafflingly easy to figure it out.


EDIT: Hey, aren't you supposed to list out the possible house colors, cigar types, and pet types?
