evangelion

me and my friends were discussing the origins of lilith from evangelion. some of them say that lilith isn't from cristian mythology, but i thought that evangelion was almost exclusivley based on christian mythology... can someone clear the fog on this subject?

She's from the Hebrew lore, but is also mentioned once in the Bible.
The first Christians were Jews, so you are all right.
