Fanfic/Poetry Section is NOT a chatroom

We've seen it happening again after it had quite some years back, mainly because as some of you may remember we locked it to where you could only post a story and receive absolutely NO replies. If the trend of people using this area as a chatroom continues we will go back to this and the only way you will get feedback on your work is through PM's. This is effective immediately and if we see any new instances starting now I'll be forced to impose the no reply block. Dont make me do this but if I have to I have no problem doing it. We give you the pm box for a reason, do not have conversations in a thread! USE AIM IT WAS INVENTED FOR A REASON!

It's totally sad that you mods have to keep on reminding people about these rules. It's only common sense...

I agree with your statement. Whenever I join a forum, I always read the privacy statement and the forum rules before I go blindly posting random spam. I just find it disrepectful and I would feel the same way if I had a forum site of my own.

why would people think that it would be any differant to any of the other sections?

one reason: people are stupid and think they can get away with anything....... (sadly this has been true of me too, multiple times)

No it isnt a good idea. We had tried several times (5 or 6 times if I remember correctly) to have chatrooms and they dont work...
