What does AO have against Favorite theads...people are just expressing their opinons. geez.
I mean why do the AO moderators close any hottest cutest etc theads.

It's a policy the site has had for well over a year. It's simple really. Favorites threads always turn out with people just listing their favorites. This is a DISCUSSION forum, posting "I like gundam and macross" is not a discussion, it is spam. We do not allow (besides a few exceptions) the following threads:
favorites threads
list threads
"What would you do if......" threads
"I'm bored" threads
"be my friend" threads (unless it's in the intro forum)
"I'm leaving the site" (We really don't care if you leave)
"I'm going to kill myself" (we also don't care)
Or anything like the above. Why? Because they have a long history of turning into spam extremely fast.
Oh yeah, and moving to forum feedback/questions.

wtf i mean seriously, not on topic AT ALL, a lame reply "definitly noone gonna learn anything from it". It's just a useless post. But look at the other posts here and u see there all on topic and all are note worthy ^_^.
The reason favorite threads aren't allowed is because of useless one reply posts and plain spam anwers.
