My computer keeps deleting 4 5ths of the page when I refresh!

I have this unpleasant problem with uploading a sig. My sig is within the dimension limits (450x110) and the file size limit, but as I try to upload it, it says that my sig is too big and should be 80x80 in dimension. Surely this can't be true, 'cause everyone has bigger sigs?
