Josh is talking about POP3, not IM. POP3 is a email service that allows you to use an external email program locally for viewing, editing, and sending emails ( on or offline). Microsoft Outlook is one.

ya and in order to use outlook on ithere msn or yahoo you have to pay wich makes me feel old since i still remeber when they let you do that for free
