Thread: Is freedom really free?

Freedom is free... because you're free to do what you like in your life.

as long as you're in this world, you ain't free from doing the things you wanna do. Well, of cause you can do whatever you like but don't get caught by the pigs. Anyway, the man up there is LOOKIN' AT YOU

i think all american are all liberated.. and one of my friend says that those who are 18.. they can do what ever they want..

yeah you can do what ever you want but if you get caught brakeing the law theres a price.Frist thing i learned on the streets was you do the crime you do the time.

ithink Freedom is not really free. yes we can pick what ever job we want. and all that crap with religion. but are we really free? no, i think freedom just bends the rules to a certain point.

Freedom, hmm this would be a nice review for my philosophy exam.

Freedom is a illusion, we are all chain down by society, eg. laws and materialistic values. Every action and thoughts we have is influenced by some external and/or internal sources like society, genetics, culture, knowledge etc. Freedom is an illusion that results from a lack of knowledge concerning factor which cause an event - Cause and effect (determinism anyone?). There is no way to achieve pure freedom unless you lock youself up and avoid the affect of cause and effect or we can not achieve freedom in this reality.
