Do planes come over the town? Do smokers live in the town?

regardless of whether people smoke or not, the amount of smoke they put it is significantly less then the total amount of air, which hardly makes for polluted air. And the planes are way high, and any exhoust or pollution they do emit, would rise, since being sorta heated(heat rises). The same goes with smoke.

It depends entirely on where you live.

I can walk for half an hour and find myself in fresh air...in one direction. In the other direction it's the opposite.

Move to Nebraska. Oh wait, don't, because then you'll bring your overcrowded whiner friends and jack up our population.

(seriously.)Agreed with Arrianna, it depends on where you live. Don't like it, become an eco-terrorist. They know how to get the point across...

What she said. Just because there are so many pollutants in the air, doesn't mean the whole world is infected by it. Our atmosphere may hold it in, but it doesn't mean there's no empty areas that the bad air hasn't moved away from. Because bad air can also be pushed away the same as good air can be pushed away. Despite the fact that bad air may be thicker, suppose a giant tanker the size of Spain dumped all its oil into the ocean... there will still be some fresh water, somewhere.

    What's the solution?

    ...

    ...

I dunno, bring all your empty air bottles, go somewhere where it's safe and fill them back up. Have a nice day.

...but speaking of which. Has any of you have had a negative effect to fresh air?

Being born and raised in the most intoxicated areas in the world has made me breathe bad air just the same as fresh air. Yet, whenever there is fresh air, I get a slight headache... I find it awkward.

I'm surprised you or anybody else forgot to mention manufacturing plants, ships and cars. I'd say they make up for a greater amount of the pollution in the air, especially from the huge exhaust pipes, excluding the small ones from cars, but thats in quantity and not size. I'd imagine that actual "fresh air" is hard to come by anywhere theres a suburban and urban area. I think the place would need to be desolate in order for that to be possible.
