Full Metal Panic....

So I hear there's gonna be a third season of FMP coming out in the near future.
Is there any confirmation of this? I don't want to get my hopes up for nothing. If a new season is really gonna air, is it gonna be action/comedy?, or is it going to be comedy/romance? etc?

btw, for you FMP? Fumoffu fans out there, pay my fansite a visit

just be prepared to encounter some annoying ads and pop-ups... other than that, I'm sure you'll enjoy the contents of my fansite

Well they already released new character designs and such, and there has been an announcement. I guess you could say, it's official.

On topic, why do they need a second season of FMP? I mean, the actual series was great and the comedy spinoff was awesome! Do they really need to squeeze another series out of it? What's left to do?

Well, from what I read, the first two FMP series was based on the Manga. The upcoming series is going to be based on the Graphic Novels.
