Thread: In-Game Virus Sweeps World of Warcraft - Oh noes!

Sounds cool. E-plague for everyone is pretty original.

It was only a matter of time before people turned to MMO's for exploitation and virus spreading. Thank god I got into Guild Wars instead of WoW.

Well, they weren't actualy software viruses... just a very annoying plague inside the game.

They should create a storyline for it or something.

Read into the article a bit more bud, this is an actual game disease that kills peoples characters, like the Plague, The programmers put it in but must have messed up somewhere in the coding.

I think this is hilarious as hell, it must suck to go into a city and instantly contract the disease and die XD

So in other words this is like the Black Death which spread across Europe? Killing everything it comes in contact with? I didn't know WoW had a Gobi Desert.

Thanks for the heads-up. I play WoW alot with some good friends and hadnt heard about this thing. Of course I've never played on any of the servers named, but thats still rough. I'd be pissed if some of my higher level characters just died. Hopefully they can do something about the problem soon.
