games into movies

what games do you think would make super fantastic movies, i personally think that metal gear solid would make a fantastic movie but they would have to be careful when making it.

i also think that phantasy star online could make a fantastic movie.

They should make FF8!! Well, only because I'm interested to see who would be casted as Squall and Rinoa. And probably FF7, not Advent Children, but the original storyline where they fight against Sephiroth and so on..

However, I think RPG games are really hard to be remade into movies as:

1) I feel like it will lose some of its originality.
2) The storyline would be a tad too long and hard to squeeze into a movie.
3) It'll be very hard to find the "perfect actor" to play the certain characters.

Even though, I would still love to experiment a game made into a movie. That'll be really intriguing.

i think it'd be more intresting if games got turned into movies. sure some parts would be different but i still like the idea.

like lord nikon said, a prince of persia or prince of persia warrior within movie would look cool

Let's just leave the video games alone. There hasn't yet been a good game-to-movie conversion, though I'm hoping the movie version of Doom works out. On the other hand my Inner Hentai would like to see a Leisure Suit Larry movie.

Nikon, your the last person that should be giving advice on spamming.....anyhow, i think a Metroid film would be great. If done atmospheric enough and directed the right way.

Metroid is also currently in progress...
I havent heard when it is going to come out though...
Alot of room to mess it and DooM up if you ask me...

I totally agree with you on that. If a MGS movie was ever made, it would have to be carefully done, especially when casting characters. A PSO movie would be awesome, I use to play that game a lot.

hm.. i would like to see suikoden 2 being made into movies... it contain lots of theme...love,friendship,betrayal,loyalty,hatred..a nd great rivalry..plus the battle of the army..i would like to see a greater detail of it..better than seeing a small soldier marching againts each other * for those who played, u knoe wat i mean...
