GITS:SAC Opening Theme

I was listening to the opening theme for GITS:SAC and it sounded really familiar. I thought it was something similiar to RahXephon music, anyone know what I'm talking about?

hemisphere and inner universe sound totally different to me. both great songs but i never really thought of them as the same. im not sure on this but was hemisphere written by yoko kanno? cause that could explain it then.
