I'd say goodbye my love, but never were you to me,
My love that I wanted so desperately.

I just wanted a chance to prove to you,
That my heart is real,
And my soul so true.

No one has been in my shoes before,
And no one will,
Have I died,
Will I be another's kill?

When will the pain stop,
I want my relief,
Please no more grief.

I just wanted a chance to shine,
But I won't do anything this time.

Let me be and let me go,
I just wanted to feel loved,
Doesn't anyone know?

So my love... my infatuation,
I must leave you now,
Because of my situation.

I just wish you could understand,
That never have I ever felt like a true man.

Forgive me for being so down,
So unforgiving, so blue.
I just wanted a chance to be with you.

You’ve taken over my heart,
Never is it mine anymore,
I don’t care though it now leaves me sore.

I just wish that I’d find someone someday,
Because you can’t love me today.

So now I may say my Adu,
Just remember I will always love you….
