Gundam Seed's reception in the US and the Cartoon Network ratings for the series were much, much less than Bandai had anticipated. Proof of this is how quickly CN managed to exile Gundam Seed to a 1:30 AM time slot on Friday night/Saturday morning. Chances are that Bandai wanted to be absolutely sure that Destiny would be a money-maker for them.

I was surprised Destiny was liscenced so quickly. ITs not even done yet and its was liscenced by Bandai. GIve it a few months and it will air on CN. Why wont they show the original series again? THey stopped somewhere in the middle when it was aired on CN. I like watching the original Gundam series.
