Halloween Horror Hysteria 2005

Here is a thread i'm taking a big risk with but sometimes you just have to say what the hell right? Like i said earlier in my latest journal entry...during October i make a quota to watch one horror film every single day during this fabulous month. Hassun and Bugz threatened me to turn this into a thread, so i gave in. If you please....use this thread as a "what horror movie are you currently watching" type of topic. And please, don't just post the movies name...talk about it a little bit. Also, if it's a Horror film that isn't too well known go ahead and post a pic or two from it. Keep in mind that AO is swarmed with minors so don't go too overboard with content in the images if you decide to post. Let the bloodbath begin!

Hehehe threatened huh? Well, I've already put this in your journal but I might aswell bring it to the masses right? Anyway In keeping with N's idea of a horror-a-day, for me today's was 28 days later, an English zombie-horror, If you've ever seen shaun of the dead, It was basically a parody of this film.

Minors might find this image disturbing!

Image

Anyway the basic storyline (no spoilers) is about a guy who wakes up in a hospital 28 days after an infection has spread through London, and the place is a wasteland full of zombies!

If you like gritty films, this is a good choice, + watch the special features at the end, where they shoot the last part of the film but replace the lead character with a duck

Yeah, goremeister. You're always making us look bad! Just remember that it was your idea to drop a canister of rat poison in the city's water supply...

28 Days Later, a good film to start this thread with.
First of all, this isn't a zombie flick like you know it people! No stumbling brain eating cannon fodder in this one. More like neaderthal predators.

A very fresh take on a genre that was well on it's way to becoming moldier than Roquefort.

Re: Halloween Horror Hysteria 2005

Right now i'm currently watching Final Destination 2, You know....no matter how many times i see this movie i just don't get tired of it. I still have problems deciding which death is my favorite in the flick....too many good ones. The kid with the window probably has to be high on my list though. "Pancake" is all i have to say.

Oh that's a good one, s'not often that a horror sequal turns out well, but when it does.....

Anyway today I watched a new one that I had never even heard of, after I left off work early, I stopped off round my cousins, he wasn't there but I found his key and went rumaging through his "Hidden Horror Stash", while I waited (he hides them because he has the idea that if he ever killed someone, accidental or not, the police would find his horrors and brand him a lunatic and extend his sentance....)
Anyway I was still looking by the time he had comeback, and he shew me a film called....

May

Basic jist, it's about a crazy girl, it's a good film if you don't take it too seriously, if you do, it's just plain creepy.

AND IT'S NOT FOR MINORS!- remember kids, I'm watchin these so you don't have to, it's a tough job...but someones gotta do it!

Re: Halloween Horror Hysteria 2005

May, now there's a splendid film. It's a real hidden gem amongst horror fans....interesting fact about the movie, the whole picture was filmed in East Hollywood (my neighborhood) and basically i know most of those locations by heart, the apartment May lives in is right down the street from me. Along with the animal hospital she worked at and that little coffee house she was stalking Adam in. Both are real places of business.

Shame your not a girl with a pale face and long black hair, you could keep following guys around the neighborhood, scare the bejeebas outta 'em!
but your right, it definatly is a gem with a great slogan: "If you can't find a friend...Make one!" such a good metaphor for life!

Most of them are indeed good but please keep this on topic.
Stay with the films, no books allowed.

Anyway at the moment I'm having trouble getting my hands on "The Beyond", They won't let me buy it in the shops because I'm under 18 and I'm having trouble trying to convince the guy at the video store that I can handle it, maybe if I douse myself in blood and attack him he will see that horror films have no effect what so ever on me!

Just get someone else to buy it for you. Easy as pie.
